Echoes. Maeve Binchy & Irish Writers

We are delighted to announce the launch of the very first ECHOES on 29th & 30th September 2017 in Dalkey Castle & Heritage Centre.

ECHOES will have an exciting mix of talks, debates, readings, walks, recordings and dramatisations.


Saturday 30th Sept from 9.30 -5.30pm, check out talks, topics and times on

Writers Martina Devlin, Joseph O’Connor, Róisín Ingle and Bernard Farrell will speak between readings and recordings. Maeve Binchy’s agents in Sweden and UK will highlight her international appeal.

Prof Margaret Kelleher, Chair of Anglo-Irish Literature UCD will open the day with Maeve Binchy, her lasting appeal. Actor Barry McGovern will explore the Beckett connection in When Beckett met Binchy.

Playwright and personal friend Bernard Farrell will close on Maeve-A Legacy in Laughter.
