Dalkey / Anglesey

Dalkey Castle & Heritage Centre and the Isle of Anglesey County Council’s Museums and Culture Service initiated the Dalkey - Isle of Anglesey: Sharing a Culture Project. It was funded through the Interreg Community Initiative 111A programme of ERDF.

The project provided Guided Tours, Artist Residencies and Language Exchanges between Dalkey and Anglesey. The programme ran very successfully, exceeding all its project outputs, from 2003 to 2006 and is now closed. We have retained the visitor information on the website to continue to promote private visits between both countries.

Let our guides lead you along footprints left by mankind as far back as five thousand years.

Anglesey
Visiting Anglesey will give first-hand experience of the cultural heritage of our closest European neighbour. Pictured below are Bryn Celli Ddu, Passage Graves; Din Lligwy - Romano/British farmstead; Beaumaris Castle and Penmon Priory and Dovecote.
