The Live Performance

May 1st - October 31st
The Living History Tour ‘The Dalkey Tudors' runs every half hour (Excluding lunch break 13.00-14.00 daily). Why not take a trip back in time to 16th Century Tudor Ireland and discover the history of the Queen’s ancestors and what life was really like during the Tudor dynasty, when Ireland was ruled by Henry VIII, the infamous ‘King of Ireland’. The Dalkey Tudors Tour runs from 1st May to 31st October 2011.

Tales of murder, intrigue, folly and fun await those who venture inside the Pale, the area most loyal to the King. During a visit to Dalkey Castle, Lords and Ladies will meet the Castles resident Ghost, who has a terrible secret to share. The Master or Mistress of Dalkey Castle, loyal to the King, they will recount tales of Henry’s six wives who were divorced, beheaded, died, divorced, beheaded and survived. Rupert, the short–sighted Archer, will reveal the many uses of the Garderobe, unveil a feast fit for a King and demonstrate how he defends the castle with his longbow.
