The Tudors are back.....
at Dalkey Castle!

Back to Dalkey Now!
See the Dalkey Tudors as they go about their daily lives while under the shadow of the world's most notorious royal.
Henry V111’s pressure to father a male heir forces a confrontation with Rome, which ends with the establishment of the Church of England, with Henry V111 as its head.
Meanwhile, the Cheevers owned Monkstown Castle and Goat Castle, Dalkey. They remained loyal to Rome and they refused to take the oath swearing allegiance to the monarchy. In all other respects, however, they were loyal servants of the Tudor monarchs, Henry, Mary and Elizabeth.
