Meet the Team 

Margaret Dunne and Minister Jimmy Deenihan

Margaret Dunne has been Manager at Dalkey Castle & Heritage Centre since May 2001. Minister Jimmy Deenihan launched the new interpretation systems in May 2013.

A graduate of both UCD and TCD, she is dedicated to presenting and promoting the history and heritage (including the literary heritage) of the area in a user-friendly fashion. Margaret devised and directed the process by which Living History in the form of costumed actors was introduced to Dalkey Castle

A dedicated team of Tour Guides and volunteers ensure the successful running of the Living History Tours and Guided Walks and any other events at Dalkey Castle & Heritage Centre.

Community Employment and TUS provide personnel who are trained professionally in-house as tour guides.

Deilg Inis Living History Theatre Company, supported by Pobal’s CSP, is engaged annually at Dalkey Castle to provide a live theatre performance as part of the guided tour. The company is directed and led by the Manager, Mr Michael Heavey.
