MAEVE BINCHY TRIBUTE SHOW

(adapted for stage by Shay Linehan from ‘Aches and Pains’)

Maeve wrote ‘Aches and Pains’ as a ‘Cheer Up’ book, a sort of survival manual,  when she went into hospital for a hip replacement some years ago. It is full of advice about how to muddle through in times of aches and pains.

Maeve offers hilarious advice on: baring your body; motivating the patient in the next bed; hiding being lame; becoming a friend to your feet; terrific things to do when getting old; how to give up drink and many more unique and ‘Maeviously’ wonderful perspectives on life.

In the beautiful surroundings of Dalkey Castle & Heritage Centre, beloved of Maeve, we are bringing this laugh-out-loud experience to the stage in Shay Linehan’s sensitive adaptation. The show lasts 55 mins and is ideal to be partnered with dinner locally. Start time can vary to suit the schedule of the visiting group at either 19.30 or 21.00.

‘Maeve Binchy Tribute Show’ (evenings only) can be performed for your bespoke groups against the beautiful backdrop of St Begnet’s Church at Dalkey Castle & Heritage Centre. For details telephone +353 1 2858366 or email to margaret@dalkeycastle.com
