Heritage Week events at Dalkey Castle: Heritage week runs from Sat 23rd to Sunday 31st August. In addition to the usual programme of Living History tours and coin minting demonstrations on both Sundays of Heritage Week there will be a number of heritage talks at Dalkey Castle during the week.

On Thursday, August 28th the talk will be on the Dalkey Islands, a must for all interested Dalkey residents. Dr Jason Bolton, Architectural Conservation Consultant, will be joined by Niall Hatch of Birdwatch Ireland and botanist David Nash, who will include rare species on the islands in his talk. DLR Summer of Heritage whereby sites are open to the public with free admission (courtesy of DLRCoCo) continues throughout the month of August. Guided tours of Dalkey Castle & Heritage Centre had capacity attendances during July. The free tours will continue through August on Mondays and Thursdays at 10.40am.
