Dalkey Castle & Heritage Centre is a visitor attraction along the coastline, ten miles south of Dublin city. The attraction is comprised of a fortified town house/ small castle structure, an early Christian Church & Graveyard, a modern Heritage Centre and Writers’ Gallery. There are guided tours all day excluding lunch time. The visitor experience includes an interactive live theatre performance with costumed actors. You can climb to the battlements with its magnificent views of sea and mountains. In complete contrast to the Living History tour, you can spend time browsing the interactive screens in the new state of the art Heritage Centre. If literary matters take your fancy, why not explore the Writers’ Gallery where over forty writers and creative artists from Joyce and Beckett to Bono and Binchy hold sway?
